A New Studio!

When I started my small business it was very much a fun dream, and something I viewed as a way for me to make a little money while I was staying home with my children. And when my business started to gain traction, I moved from a tiny corner in my living room to one of three bedrooms in our home. We have three children but they were young at the time so we made the decision to bunk them up in one room and that allowed me the space to work.

Flash forward to this year and my boys are now older (8, 6, and 4) and very much in need of more space. My husband and I looked into moving into a bigger home, but with the housing market the way that it is, it felt more appropriate to move my small business and make our cozy home work for a bit longer. I had searched for spaces for a few months when Bethany, of Fluid Plus Drape shared her new space in her instagram stories. I reached out about where she found such a wonderful space and she graciously offered to sublet part of it to me! It has been a joy to move into a space and share it with another small business owner in the textile/fiber world that I respect and admire! 

I started moving in the first week of May, and it has given me a new sense of determination and a surge of creativity! I can't wait to show you more. I'll make another post once our community space is up and running!
